Wondros Health Launches Clinical Trials Guide

Thousands of people are looking online for clinical trials every day but coming up short. Whether they’re using search engines or health portals, joining patient communities, or reading posts in forums, the actual content and information available is not always suitable for the everyday reader – until now. This summer, Wondros launched its beta version of the Wondros Health Clinical Trials Guide. WondrosHealth.com was created to provide patients, caretakers and advocates a place to seamlessly and easily discover new treatments through clinical trials.

The patient-centric platform makes it easy to find relevant clinical trials through our AI-powered search engine and helps simplify trial information for patients. Wondros aims to connect diverse patients to trials no matter where they are in their health journey.

Leveraging trial data directly from clinicaltrials.gov, WondrosHealth.com is free to use for all patients and utilizes AI-powered smart search technology to surface the most relevant recruiting trials in the US. Users have the opportunity to refine their searches by filtering their location and other criteria, and may reach out directly to a study representative. Additionally, WondrosHealth.com provides useful and educational information along the way, helping everyday users understand common clinical research terminology, such as ‘phases’, or ‘intervention type’.

Recruitment for trials faces its own set of challenges, such as the cost and time to recruit, and the challenge of enrolling eligible candidates. While WondrosHealth.com was built with patients in mind, we have also developed this platform to help trial managers and sponsors by making it easier to recruit patients. Our goal is to enable trial managers to editorialize their trial content for potential participants by providing intuitive self service tools to simplify their trial page. This approach allows the trial manager to clearly communicate what their trial is and inform whether a patient is qualified for the trial through a custom eligibility screener. Additionally, trial managers can track performance of their updated trial pages through analytics data that captures traffic to their page and information on users interacting with their page content, such as the eligibility screener.

Our goal is to reach patients and help provide ease in navigating this complex space of clinical trials. By making information about trials more easily accessible, we hope to make enrollment in clinical trials more feasible and frictionless for patients. Because the platform is in its early stages, we continue to solicit feedback from partners, advocacy groups and sponsors on how to best serve their communities as we ultimately strive to engage diverse communities to participate in trials.
