Walter Robot's Bio

Walter Robot is the award-winning directing team of artist Bill Barminski and writer Christopher Louie. Since coming together in 2007 this prolific duo has completed over two dozen narrative and experimental projects. Ranging from live-action to animation the two multimedia talents do their own writing, animation, and post-production. They have worked with artists that vary from Gnarls Barkley, Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie and Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20. Their Death Cab for Cutie video "Grapevine Fires" was accepted into the 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival where it won Audience Award for Best Music Video. It was also nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards and Best Video at the MTVu Woodie Awards.

As well as their music videos they have completed several successful viral videos and short films. A short film they did in collaboration with Los Angeles Times journalist, Joel Stein, was accepted to screen at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. They recently worked with Academy Award nominated and Emmy Award winner, director Jeffrey Blitz, on the documentary Lucky, which is to premiere at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
