Thom Zimny's Bio
Thom Zimny is a long-time visual collaborator with Bruce Springsteen. Most recently Zimny directed and edited the music video for the Golden Globe winning song, “The Wrestler” as well as the upcoming documentary “Working On A Dream: A Superbowl Journal.”
Zimny earned a Grammy for Best Long Form Music Video as the producer and director of the feature documentary "Wings for Wheels: The Making Of Born To Run," which was released as part of Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run 30th Anniversary Edition Box Set.
There is long history of collaborations between Zimny and Springsteen on award-winning projects. They first teamed up on Springsteen's 2001 "Live In New York City" special, which earned Zimny the year's Emmy Award for Outstanding Multi-Camera Picture Editing for a Miniseries, Movie or Special. Other projects include Emmy-nominated "Live in Barcelona", the "VH1 Storytellers" films, and several music videos.
A leading feature film and television editor, Zimny recently edited Edward Burns' feature "Purple Violets," and his television credits include three seasons as the editor of HBO's "The Wire."
Zimny continues to work as Springsteen’s personal archivist.
