In August of 2012, actresses and ONE members America Ferrera and Alexis Bledel, and Claire Diaz-Ortiz, head of social innovation at Twitter, traveled with ONE to Honduras. Their trip was designed to experience firsthand how women and girls are working to lift their families and communities out of extreme poverty. Wondros director Jesse Dylan traveled with ONE to document the trip, creating the film “ONE Women and Girls in Honduras.”
The film premiered at Mashable’s Social Good Summit in New York City this week. The summit is a three-day conference “where big ideas meet new media to create innovative solutions.”
This film is part of ONE’s new initiative to drive awareness of and to support programs that are helping women and girls lift themselves and their families out of extreme poverty.
