For more than three decades, the San Francisco-based biomedical research organization Gladstone Institutes have been working to overcome some of the world’s most devastating illnesses. As part of the launch of the new Gladstone website, Wondros created a series of films featuring a unique component of the nonprofit’s biomedical research program.
"The scientists and staff working at Gladstone are on the cutting edge, in service of innovative change,” said Jesse Dylan, Wondros’s founder and CEO, and director of the film series. “Telling the story of their broad thinking, interdisciplinary methodology and daring research gives me hope that we are on the precipice of finding cures for complex diseases.”
The movies and website are part of a Gladstone campaign to increase recognition of three global health crises. The University of California, San Francisco affiliate consists of three institutes focusing on neurology, cardiology and virology. Its work has led to research advances against Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease and HIV/AIDS.
